1. What are your favorite moments in the book?
I think some of my favorite moments in the "Alchemist". Was when the boy met the king of Salem, this point of the book was the beginning of Santiago's journey on his personal legend. The king new the boy was having recurrent dreams about finding treasure at the Pyramids of Egypt. Santiago was unsure about setting out on this journey to go find this treasure, the king almost gave him a push to commit to following his personal legend. My other favorite part of the book is near the end, when Santiago realizes the treasure isn't at the pyramids at all> Its buried under the sycamore tree back in his home town. The reason why I remember this part in the book the most is because, Santiago appreciated the journey more rather than the objective. The "Alchemist" was overall a great book filled with many cool characters and settings.
2. In your own opinion, and if you had to choose only one thing, what is the only thing worth living for? What would Paulo Coelho say is the only thing worth living for?
In my opinion the thing i'm living for and looking forward to in the future, is having a loving wife and kids. A well paying job that I love to do each and every day. To stay connected with my family and friends throughout my life, and just live life to the fullest, get out there and experience new things. I think Paulo Coelho would say that the main thing worth living for in life, is to follow your dreams or Personal Legend. Or to go out and find true love, I would think it would be one of those two things because those two points are a big part of the story and Santiago's life in the Alchemist.
